attain the understanding that Spirit is the power back of all intellect, and that it is Spirit which giveth life. When we lift up the intellectual to the spiritual we get results.
"We have so long lived in the intellectual world that we have made certain laws for ourselves. We measure our lives by rule. The laws we make for ourselves and others put us into limitation. When we come into spiritual realization, which is the city of Jerusalem, we find that we have set up certain idols, certain laws to follow. The law is the schoolmaster that brings us to Christ. The Jesus Christ consciousness frees us from the law. Paul is the regenerated will; Barnabas is the son of comfort. They bring the knowledge that the law is not enough.
"The intellectual is the symbol of the spiritual. The things of the outer are idols within our souls. Our devotion to them is eating the meat that is set before idols; from this we are to abstain. Blood is the symbol of the great life. All that the blood typifies (life) is to be lived for righteousness. The heart and soul are to approve the great things of life. If we choke ont the higher impulses we strangle the divine urge for righteousness, and are partaking of things strangled. The true marriage is the union of the consciousness with the Christ There must be one mind, one purpose, one motive, and one desire. All the life forces, mental and physical, are to be used as they were ordained to be used—not misunderstood, not misapplied. When we observe all abstinence, then does the Christ come forth into new birth or activity within our souls. It is not in the keeping of creeds nor in obedience to the Mosaic law, but in the observance of the spiritual commands that 'ye shall do well' .
"Let us have no false ideas, no delusions, no illusions; let us know the Truth that sets us free. The letter of the law is fulfilled in the spiritual conception of things. 'My people perish for lack of knowledge.' There is no lack of knowledge in the one who gets away from the letter into the Spirit. ' Salvation comes from knowing. When each of us can see the real—the Christ —in us, we have gotten into the heart of things. The bead and the heart must be united.
"When we direct what the subconscious mind brings to us we have genius. If we be geniuses in religious work we must know that there is but the One to whom to go. Our city of Jerusalem must be cleansed from idols, from things strangled, from blood, and from fornication. If we do this we indeed do well."
At Mrs. Fillmore's invitation Mrs. McClintock took charge of the healing exercises.

A Pure-Food Store
The Unity Pure Food Co. has opened a store at 917 Tracy Avenue, where a line of special nut, cereal, fruit, and vegetable foods will be kept.
The main object of this store is to introduce food products to take the place of meat. The co-operation of all members of the Unity Society is requested. If you know of a good product, tell us about it; or if you want
to know about the various substitutes for meat, call and have us show them to you.
Remember the place—917 Tracy Avenue, in the frame dwelling next door south of Unity Building.
Things to Be Remembered
Remember that "The man worth while is the man who can smile when everything goes dead wrong."
Remember that "When the sinful mind is forgiven, the obedient body is made whole."
Remember that "There is abundance for all in the Divine Providence, but he who would clog its free flow through hoarding is selfish, and must suffer the consequences of that congestion."
Remember that "Everv one may have his needs supplied each day without stress if he will make a covenant with God to do his will, and never doubt or question his abundant supply."
Remember that "If you have trouble with heart vou may know that you have let in some thoughts that have clogged the free "currents of love."
Remember to read what "Chris" has to say about the Pure Food Store.
Remember that metaphysical books are on sale in the Unity Library.
Remember to ask your friends to subscribe for Weekly Unity and get a Prosperity Bank.
A Word from Chris
Have you been over to visit our store? As you come out of meeting drop in and look around, I'll be there to show you all the wonderful foods and explain them.
We have meat substitutes that would fool a South Sea Island cannibal. They easily fool the American cannibal. All the meat poisons and coarse vibrations are voided and the flavor obtained without killing any animals. Come over and try a can.
We have a nut cheese named Nutcysa which is delicious. Drop in and we shall be glad to have you try it.
If you are a connoisseur of peanut butter, just sample ours. It has all the flavor, sweetness, and freshness of that ground in your own mill. I have a crisp, Nashville cracker spread with a generous layer of this butter for you. Stop for it! If you're not a connoisseur of peanut butter, stop anyway. We have plenty of other things.
Of course you don't use Lard! Lard is a relic of barbarism. It tastes hoggish, makes you feel hoggish, and comes from filthy hogs. We have many cooking oils which cook better, taste better, and are cheaper than the hog product. Try some!
You still like your morning cup of coffee, I suppose. Of course it makes you feel good to have a refreshing drink before starting on the day's work. We have coffee that is as refreshing, has the good flavor, but is a food instead of a stimulant. It sells at a third the price coffee.
The other day a couple of cases of Kaola arrived. Hitherto we have contented ourselves with olive oil, cotton-seed oil, or some other oil as a substitute for butter; but Kaola, a fat to replace butter, is firm and will not get rancid. It is also tasteless, and much cheaper than butter. We have a bucket open. Stop and taste it!
I haven't the space to tell you all about our stock. If I did you would read for hours. Come, look, taste, and see for yourself.
In the near future we expect to have a vegetarian jubilee. Of course you will be invited. I shall tell you more about it in the next Weekly Unity. CHRIS.
